This South Florida Black OT Caucus is a professional home created to support and uplift Black/Black-identifying occupational therapy practitioners, occupational therapy assistants, and OT/OTA students across all practice settings. "Black-identifying" includes individuals who identify with the African diaspora, including Afro-Latino, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Asian, and other diasporic identities. Our work centers connection, mentorship, professional growth, and advocacy rooted in shared lived experience within the occupational therapy profession.

Membership is available to Black-identifying individuals from the diaspora and are engaged in occupational therapy practice or education. Members gain access to a supportive network, leadership opportunities, culturally responsive resources, and spaces designed to foster belonging, excellence, and collective advancement.

For Allies Interested in Supporting This Work

We are grateful for your interest in advancing equity and representation within occupational therapy. While membership is reserved for individuals who meet the eligibility criteria above, we warmly invite allies—non-Black practitioners, students, educators, and supporters—to engage with us through our events and activities and to continue growing alongside other occupational therapy organizations and professional spaces that share their values and commitment to the profession.

  2. Arab American Occupational Therapy Group (AAOTG)
